Ultramarathon blister

U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Brandon Miller, of the 177th Intelligence Squadron, North Dakota Air National Guard, finds his first blister at a checkpoint at about the 50-mile mark of the 107.3-mile version of the Maah Daah Hey Trail ultramarathon in the beautiful badlands of North Dakota July 31, 2021. He has a support and gear (SAG) team meeting him at each check point throughout the race. His SAG team provides him with food, liquids and equipment to stay cool and dry at checkpoints between the stages of the race. He is putting on dry socks and shoes at each checkpoint. Miller completed the ultramarathon over the rugged path in 30 hours, 17 minutes. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by David H. Lipp)
