Herbel is among a group of Airmen and Soldiers visiting the veterans at the home to share a holiday meal and present Christmas gifts to the veterans living at the home, which is an annual event for the North Dakota National Guard. The gifts for the veterans were purchased using donations and are given by North Dakota National Guard members to the residents at the Veterans Home to demonstrate their appreciation to the veterans who have served before them.
