219 SFS provides missile field security while performing annual training
From left to right 219 Security Forces Squadron members Senior Airman Tyler Waltz and Airman 1st Class Alex Pauling conduct an area sweep of a Minot Air Force Base missile alert facility May 21, 2015, near Minot, North Dakota. Sweeps are routinely done for training, as a result of an alarm being set off, or periodically because time has passed between sweeps. The North Dakota Air National Guard members are doing their annual training period as they perform the real-World mission of missile field security, and train for their war-time tasking mission. The Air National Guard members are routinely integrated among the U.S. Air Force active duty personnel performing missile field security in a seamless and indistinguishable manner.
