2010 NDNG Flood Fight
Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, the North Dakota adjutant general, visits North Dakota National Guard personnel, Maj. Martin Tonn, center, and Senior Master Sgt. Tim Laney, as they work in the emergency operations center (EOC) Mar. 15, Fargo, N.D. The EOC personnel are directing flood fighting activities of National Guard members on the front lines of the rising water. The North Dakota National Guard plan calls for 300-400 personnel to participate in flood fighting activities like driving heavy equipment, sandbagging, traffic control, and barrier assembly.
