2011 NDNG Flood Fight
Staff Sgt. Robert Benton, of the 119th Maintenance Squadron, checks a pump in the evening hours of April 8, so make sure that water is not pooling behind temporary flood barriers in a backyard of a residential home in Fargo, N.D. Benton is one of several North Dakota National Guard members monitoring temporary flood barriers for possible problem areas and is also watching for unauthorized people on, or near the levees. The North Dakota National Guard members are monitoring the flood protection levees on 12-hour shifts, 24-hours a day until the flood waters recede. As of Saturday April 9, appoximately 450 N.D. Air and Army Guardsman are on flood response for the 2011 flood fight.
