Happy Hooligans welcome home Firemen Published Feb. 23, 2009 By Capt Penny Ripperger 119th Wing Public Affairs Fargo, N.D. -- The 119th Wing, N.D. Air National Guard will welcome two Airmen returning home from Iraq on Saturday at approximately 2:11 p.m. on Northwest Flight #3639 at Hector International Airport. Staff Sgt. Chris Pieper, Fargo, and Senior Airman Jason Dewar, Moorhead, are firefighters with the 119th Civil Engineer Squadron. The Airmen deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in October 2008. The military fire department is responsible for all aircraft emergencies that occur within the station's response area. In addition, the fire department is also responsible for structural responses, hazardous material releases, medical responses, mass casualties and confined space rescue.
