Happy Hooligans host Air Wing Expo at 119th Wing Published June 4, 2010 By Capt. Penny Ripperger 119th Wing Public Affairs Fargo, N.D. -- An Air Wing Expo is scheduled to take place at the 119th Wing, North Dakota Air National Guard tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the North Dakota Air National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program and will offer multiple networking and informational opportunities for the Airmen. There will be multiple organizations present at the expo to include: the Fargo Vet Center, Veterans Administration, Department of Labor, North Dakota Job Service, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the North Dakota National Guard Outreach Office and Chaplains Office, military life consultants, the American Legion, plus more. Coordinators of the event are also using the opportunity to encourage Airman to sign up for VA benefits at the expo. "We will have computers and laptops available for Airmen to register with the VA right away on the spot, with experts on hand to answer any questions they might have," explained Keith Huff, NDANG Yellow Ribbon coordinator. "Currently, out of all the military members eligible for VA benefits, only 35% are signed up to receive them. We need to change that." Airmen who have deployed within the last year are required to attend the expo, but all Airmen will be encouraged and allowed to attend the event. "The purpose of this event is to reach out to the Airmen and just let them know about the opportunities and services that are available to them," Huff said. Media is invited to attend the 119th Air Wing Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please contact Capt.
