ROLL CALL for all retirees at the Annual NDANG
Retirees' Breakfast at the 119th Wing Aerospace Dining,
Facility, Wednesday, November 5th. It's the largest retirees'
event the year. Doors open at 7:00 a. m.


I - Looking Ahead in November.

*Wednesday, November 5th - Annual NDANG Retirees' Breakfast, 119th Wing Aerospace Dining Facility. The doors open at 7:00 a.m., breakfast will be served at 7:30.

- There will be a tour of the recently remodeled Operations Building. Time to be announced the morning of the breakfast.

- The Base Exchange will open at 9:00 a. m. this day.

- Please notify, contact, remind your fellow retired Hooligan friends of this event. There are many out there who are not hooked up with a computer and rely on "word of mouth".

- The Auger Inn will have Hooligan clothing (caps, shirts, jackets) and other various items for sale.

*Thursday, November 6th - The Mesa, AZ retired Hooligans will begin the 2008-2009 season with their monthly breakfasts at Michael's Fairway Grill. It's at the same location as last year's breakfast dining spot. It's located in Sunland Village East, 2250 South Buttercup. A point of contact is Don Foster, (480) 694-6223. Guests are welcome!

II - This 'N That.

*North Dakota Guardian survey. Take the survey on your computer by calling up www.ndguard.com, click on Take the Guardian Survey (down and towards the center of page), then click on "online survey". There you are. The survey ends 6 December 2008.

*Auger Inn Activities.

Retirement Celebration. A retirement ceremony will be held at the Auger Inn at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st for Lt Col Diane Moderow (119th MDS), retiring with 30 years of service. Complimentary beverages and snacks will be served at 4:00, following the ceremonies. Other Hooligans retiring and contributing to the beverages and snacks include Lt Col Craig Schroeder, Lt Col Mike "Spike" Nelson, and Lt Col Bill Pallen.

*Auger Inn Pork-Alo Feed. A full-house turned out for the October 24th Pork-Alo Feed. Lot'sa retired Hooligans were in the audience. Quite a handful of retirees shared in prizes, too, including Duane Fontaine, Larry Gilleland, Oscar Hanson, Lowell Jordahl, Tom Kolness, Wayne Mercil, J. C. Tietgens, and Roger Zetocha.

III - Down the Road.

*Wednesday, December 3rd. Fargo-Moorhead Hooligans monthly breakfast at the Northtown Grill, 8:00 a. m.

*Saturday, December 20th. Detroit Lakes and surrounding area Hooligans bimonthly breakfast, Club House Hotel, 8:00 a. m.

IV - The Other Side of the Field.

Hector Field Base Exchange.

The Base Exchange will open at 9:00 a. m.. on Wednesday, November 5th, following the Annual Retirees' Breakfast. This will give the retirees an opportunity to check out some of the seasonal merchandise. Remember, too, there's no sales tax on your purchases. Here's a "heads up" on some of the merchandise available.

*Digiital picture frames and other photo items.

*Xbox 360 Elite.

*Automobile tires, Goodyear. Purchase four tires, no charge for mounting.

*A pet center has been added, which includes toys for your favorite pet.

*Additional wine and liquor products, including liquor gift sets. And, there's a 10% discount for case lots. 


The Base Exchange hours are 10:00 a. m. - 5:00 p. m., Monday through Friday. The BX is open on the Monday "down days"; however, the main gate may be closed until you drive up to that point for an ID check.

Fargo Air Museum.

The Fargo Air Museum is a showcase for aviation, a premier flying museum in the upper Midwest. The museum offers tours and special events, private event rental for family reunions, weddings, receptions, (and more), a gift shop including clothing, aviation books, art, models, and other aviation related items. Located across from the FargoDome at 1609 19th Ave N. Note the attachment, "Come Fly with Us for the Holidays".
