219th Security Forces Squadron
Published October 07, 2012
The 219th SFS is located in Minot, N.D., but it is part of the 119th Wing, the N.D. Air National Guard base located in Fargo, N.D.
219th SFS Airmen work side by side with active-duty SFS Airmen at Minot Air Force Base.
Personnel in these positions have a reduced likelihood of involuntary deployment, which can be appealing to some, but Airmen who want to deploy also will have the opportunity to do so.
The primary mission of the 219th SFS is to provide Space Command with a surge force capability during heightened operational requirements. This major achievement has paved the way to train, organize and equip the traditional component inherent to any National Guard unit anywhere in the world.
Educational benefit programs include 100% tuition assistance at ND state colleges, $317.00/month Montgomery G.I. Bill, $350.00/month G.I. Bill Kicker and up to $20,000 cash enlistment bonus.
