Quam 103rd Birthday Card

Chief Master Sgt. Val Buchholz, of the 119th Logistics Readiness Squadron, presents a birth card to retired Chief Master Sgt. Fred Quam in honor of his 103rd birthday during the annual 119th Wing Chief’s Council retiree breakfast at the North Dakota Air National Guard Base, Fargo, N.D., Oct. 2, 2019. Quam became a member upon the unit’s inception Jan. 16, 1947, and is the last surviving charter member of the North Dakota Air National Guard. The 119th Wing senior NCOs use the event to honor retired unit members and stay connected with them and the local community. Approximately 144 retired unit members attended the event.
