Val Buchholz, of the 119th Logistics Readiness Squadron are presenting Quam with a birthday cake in celebration of his 103rd birthday. Quam became a member upon the unit’s inception Jan. 16, 1947, and is the last surviving charter member of the North Dakota Air National Guard. The 119th Wing senior NCOs use the event to honor retired unit members and stay connected with them and the local community. Approximately 144 retired unit members attended the event.
