Quam turns 102 at annual breakfast
Retired Maj. Gen. Alexander Macdonald, a former 119th Wing commander and North Dakota adjutant general, presents a birthday card to retired Chief Master Sgt. Fred Quam for his 102nd birthday, which was Oct. 2, during an annual retiree breakfast get-together at the North Dakota Air National Guard Base, Fargo, N.D., Oct. 3, 2018. Quam is a charter member of the North Dakota Air National Guard, which he joined January 16, 1947. The 119th Wing Chief’s Council hosts the annual breakfast get-together for retired unit members each October, as part of their community relations program.
